Ken Reynolds Readies New Release

Following his first two critically acclaimed Integrity Music CDs Great Things and For You I Live, worship leader and songwriter Ken Reynolds returns August 11 with the release of One World/One God, a live worship album recorded at his home church, Resurrection Life in Grandville, Michigan.

“I want to do whatever I can to build up God’s Kingdom,” says Reynolds. “I just accepted the call, and this project is a culmination of God preparing me all these years. I’m just along for the ride.”

With personal musical influences that range from Walter Hawkins to Earth Wind & Fire, from Michael W. Smith to Tchaikovsky, Reynolds’ music is known for combining musical influences to create worship music that bridges cultural and denominational boundaries.

He continues that reputation with One World/One God, a celebration of diversity and also a proclamation of God’s desire for unity among His people as outlined in Ephesians 4:3-6. One World/One God showcases styles including funk, gospel, soul, Latin, and straight-up worship.  Reynolds leads his audience in moments of deep worship and electrifying praise with songs that are a beautiful mosaic of worship and adoration fused with a Gospel and Latin timbre.

“I wanted to reach back to the influences that led me to where I am, and where I’m going,” said Reynolds who not only called upon his musical influences for One World/One God, but also his spiritual heritage.  For the live CD, Reynolds gathered a dynamic choir composed of members from different churches, including those that had shaped his calling, symbolically linking both his past and his present passion: a group of many, coming together as one. The choir was composed of members from Resurrection Life and Madison Square Christian Reformed Church and New Hope Baptist Church also both of Grand Rapids.
