New York, NY – In 1996, Pastors G.F. and Rose Watkins began knocking on doors in the Katy area, inviting people to a different kind of church: One with a mission to restore order in a world of chaos. Since then, PowerHouse Christian Center has grown to over 3000 members, all focused on God’s Vision…Win the lost.

Pastor G.F., an author and All-American Athlete in 1985, founded PowerHouse Christian Center as a spiritual son of the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole, founder of the Christian Men’s Network. The concept of discipling men eventually led Pastor Watkins to develop the “G-Men Strategy”, a supernatural plan that provides a structure for the local church to retain the harvest of souls. The process of mentoring men has restored hundreds of marriages and brought the relationship between parent and child back to the standard that God set forth in his Word.

Simply put - heal the father and you change a home and a generation. With this mission in mind, Pastor Watkins has helped the birth of Jordan Ranch. Jordan Ranch is a corporate retreat center designed to bring men’s, women’s, youth and marriage retreats together for a time of relaxation and teaching. The goal is to help restore broken homes and be a facility designed to seclude and immerse a person in the process of healing and restoration. Pastor Watkins’ describes the men’s ministry as a ministry to men but for women. With the belief that being male is a matter of birth, but being a man is a matter of choice.

Following God’s call in building a $7 million planned 5-star, resort-style facility was something that Pastor Watkins never thought twice about. “I think Jordan Ranch will become a place for healing and leadership training,” says Watkins. “It is not built just for what we can do today, but for what we can do in the next 5-10 years. We have a vision for 2020!”
