The Paul Colman Trio celebrates the release of its Essential Records debut, New Map of the World, with promotional events in Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky. In stores May 21, the album spawned this week's #1 Christian Hits Radio single, "Turn."

The band kicked off its release week in Chicago with a performance on the Total Living Network's Total Living With Jerry Rose, a daily, half-hour show seen on the network and on PAX-TV reaching over 14 million households. The group also took part in local radio and media interviews as well as retail events throughout the Chicago area. As they continue to travel east, PC3 will stop off at a number of retail, media, and radio outlets wrapping up with a visit to Family Christian Stores headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan to lead morning devotions for the staff.

"Although this is PC3's first American release, the band is quickly making a name for themselves in the U.S.," commented Nina Williams, Essential Records senior director of marketing. "Whether it's Christian music listeners who have seen the group on the road with Third Day or radio and media who have met them at an industry event, PC3 has developed a substantial following, all of whom have contributed to the successful launch of this record."

The Paul Colman Trio has additional reason to celebrate the release of New Map of the World, as this week the project's debut radio single, "Turn," claimed the #1 position on R&R's Christian Hits Radio chart.

"I'd like to say we planned all along to have 'Turn' hit #1 on street date after only 8 short weeks on the charts," said Michael Johnson, Essential Records' radio promotions manager. "The truth is, radio is just plain nuts about this song. They took it and ran with it... and we're grateful they did!"

In support of the record, PC3 will continue to tour this summer, appearing at every major festival including main stage appearances at Creation East, Atlanta Fest and Inside Out Soul Festival. The group will also join up with Third Day again this fall for an additional leg of the Come Together tour.
