SCORE

Larry Norman, widely considered to be the "Father of Christian Rock," is in a Portland, Oregon hospital this week after suffering a heart attack on November 11.

At last report, Norman was in good spirits, but the doctors believe his condition to be poor. He is currently staying in the Intensive Care Unit, where the hospital reports that his heart is only only doing approximately 20% of the work it should be doing. The doctors are uncertain if Norman could survive a bypass operation, but it could buy him time to be put on a heart transplant list, which is reportedly what he needs.

His family is with him during this time and everyone is asking his friends and fans to pray for a miracle. Some of his closest fans report that his medical insurance is not good, and of course his medical bills will be enormous after this hospital stay. They are in the process of setting up a nonprofit medical fund for donations, but nothing has been finalized yet.
