City On A Hill: It's Christmas Time title track most added radio single last week
|
City On A Hill: It’s Christmas Time is impacting radio, retail, and Internet outlets this month via several promotions. Marketing partners include the Dallas/Ft. Worth-based radio network K-LOVE, national retail chain Family Christian Stores, Soul2Soul Radio International, and various online consumer resources.
“It’s Christmas Time,” the album’s first radio single, performed by an all-star line-up including Cliff & Danielle Young (Caedmon’s Call), Derri Daugherty (The Choir), Dan Haseltine (Jars of Clay), Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer), Out of Eden, Michael Tait, and Mac Powell (Third Day), was the most added song last week, according to industry Web site AllAccess.com.
“I had stations calling in September saying how much they liked ‘It’s Christmas Time,’” comments manager of radio promotions Michael Johnson. “Great to finally see the sleigh-load of adds!”
In addition to numerous regional promotions with key stations across the country, the record is receiving several major national pushes this month. K-LOVE radio is joining forces with Essential Records during December to support It’s Christmas Time with a multi-faceted promotion that includes a one-week on-air and online product giveaway, beginning December 16. Advertising sponsored by the network will appear on klove.com, as well as in the network’s print publication, Christian Music Planet. K-LOVE and Essential Records are also teaming up to present a listen-and-win contest for a free ski vacation to Lake Tahoe.
Soul2Soul Radio International plans a special December 21 re-broadcast of its interview with It’s Christmas Time artists Dan Haseltine, Mac Powell, Cliff Young, Out of Eden, and Michael Tait.
