Strive Releases 'Fire' Today
|
GoDigital Records’ piano-driven, rock/pop band STRIVE launches today its acclaimed and first global release, FIRE. The band’s inspirational message and anthemic music has already hit a chord with music fans. As the momentum builds toward the release of the new album, a significant number of major media have joined fans expressing their interest in and support of the band, with requests coming in from Billboard, The New York Times, MSN, AOL, Paste, Toronto Star, Denver Post, and more than 470 total media outlets representing 55 countries.
Voted as one of the fan favorites in several music categories on OurStage.com, as well as a favorite at MyCCM.com, STRIVE also surpasses the 1.2 million plays mark and 2.5 million views mark on Myspace (www.myspace.com/STRIVE). Responding to the band’s growing fan base, both MSN (http://music.msn.com/music/listeningbooth) and AOL (http://music.aol.com/songs) are featuring STRIVE on its sites and hosting online listening parties today for FIRE. Bebo.com is featuring STRIVE in a two-week long campaign that includes giving away STRIVE tour tickets. Additionally, new release features on the band are running today at Napster, Imeem (http://www.imeem.com/strivemusic) and Amie Street, as Windows Media Guide runs a “Genre Page” feature and QuickTime adds a promo video for “Smallest Things,” the band’s first radio single that is receiving spins on Yahoo!, AOL, XM Radio and many others.
“Got it, reviewed it, and like it!” exclaims Jim Epperlein, XM Radio, after hearing the new album. “Besides the single, I’m going to ingest four other tracks. I really dig their title track ‘FIRE.’ I think it’s revolutionary stuff…”
“The lyrics and the music are just incredible,” echoes Rodney Baylous, WOLC 102.5 FM in Maryland, after adding the single last week.
“Thanks for the job you are doing on encouraging others through your music. We are very glad to air STRIVE on our station,” adds Jona Kumaraku, Krash on Radio 7 (Albania).
Chicago-based STRIVE mixes the arena-friendly style of The Fray with an inspirational message akin to U2 and Switchfoot. It’s music has been licensed for MTV’s The Real World, E!: Entertainment Television’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians and for Atomic Design Laboratory’s Tribulation Knights Christian adventure video game. Touring extensively in the US, STRIVE also travels internationally with extended tours in Brazil and Russia.
With FIRE available iTunes, Napster, Amazon, AmieStreet, Rhapsody, BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com and other online and retail locations, more information regarding STRIVE can be found at www.strivemusic.com, www.myspace.com/strive.
