Curt Collins Preps 'Another Day'
|
Christian singer/songwriter, Curt Collins, is scheduled to release his third CD Another Day on July 29. The album is on FSS Music Group and will be distributed by Infinity Music Distribution. The project was produced by Curb recording artist, Jamie Slocum, and features two songs written by Collins, “Never Givin’ Up On Me,” and “Hiding Place.” At the same time, Collins covers such tunes as Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground” and Richard Page’s “Shelter Me” while featuring two new arrangements of the classic hymns, “Blessed Assurance” and “Jesus Paid It All.”
The title track from Another Day is already in the top 10 of the Christian Radio Weekly Inspo chart and #16 on Radio & Record’s Inspo chart. Collins is no stranger to radio success as his self-penned song, “He Will Pull You Through” from his self-titled sophomore project, was one of the top 100 songs at CRW for 2007. Collins also reached #8 on the Power Source chart with the song, “Backyard Hero,” from his Christian/Country debut project. Collins also received rave reviews from his earlier projects that included, Living With Teenagers, Plugged In magazine, Christian Retailing, Worship Leader magazine, etc.
Taking refuge in Christ is a strong theme woven throughout Another Day. “I have a passionate love for Christ. God is a God of unconditional love, and I really believe that,” Collins asserts. “We’re constantly being faced with conditions all day—conditions for work, conditions for play… And God is not a God of conditions; He’s an unconditional God of love. That’s where I’m at. Time is a factor, too. God is timeless. He’s going to wait a long time for people to come to him.”
Collins, who was adopted at six months old, is developing an adoption foundation for special needs children, The Love Unconditional Foundation. “The Love Unconditional Foundation would be set up to help families that have adopted special needs children into the family,” says Collins. “I feel like God is going to put the right people in the right place to do that. I don’t know what God’s going to do with it, but He does grant the desires of our heart, I think.”
