Chris Tomlin's Not To Us achieves Top 10 sales status first week out
|
Sixstepsrecords/Sparrow Records’ Chris Tomlin launched his sophomore recording, Not To Us, September 10 amidst rave critical review and now commercial acclaim. With more than 5,700 units of Not To Us sold in its first week at retail, Tomlin has for the first time launched into the Top 10 on the exclusive, SoundScan compiled Top Christian Album sales chart, joining such well-known artists as P.O.D., Third Day, and Michael W. Smith.
While this is the first time for Tomlin to reach into the Top 10 sales as a solo artist, he has been there multiple times as a significant part of the #1 selling Passion recordings, and also as a songwriter, having written the opening song, “Forever,” on Michael W. Smith’s Platinum-selling Worship recording.
Chris Tomlin performed new music from his critically acclaimed sophomore recording, Not To Us, the day the recording released (September 10) at a KSBJ “Brown Bag” event at the Chick-fil-A in Houston (Katy, TX).
