Cross Driven preps for Ceili Rain's new album
|
Cross Driven Records Celt/pop/rock band Ceili Rain is set to release their highly anticipated new album, No You-No Me, on September 17. This will be the group's third release since 1997.
"This music strikes a deep chord in people, because it derives from a collective yearning people have for God, for spirituality, for home, for togetherness," says lead singer and songwriter Bob Halligan, Jr. "These songs were written to be inclusive and inviting - anyone who wants some joy out of life is apt to like them."
"The title is a way of acknowledging to our audience that if they didn't exist, Ceili Rain wouldn't either," Halligan continues. The poignant title song, with overtones of a lyrical Irish ballad, is in its own way a reflection of Halligan's longstanding relationship with his wife, Linda. "Human relationships do well to be patterned after a human-divine relationship," Halligan explains.
