Shaun Groves parts ways with Rocketown Records
|
Early last month, Shaun Groves engaged his audience in a compelling series of blog entries called "Two Weeks Ago Today." The series took readers firsthand through a recent period of Shaun's life that was difficult and found him full of doubts about life and faith. By the end of the series, Shaun had gained a new perspective and renewed strength in his faith.
In one of the entries, Shaun candidly announced that he had parted ways with Rocketown Records. An excerpt from the post follows:
"We agreed to think about some other kind of fourth record - something live perhaps - that we could put out eventually, but decided together that my contract with Rocketown Records would now end. We sat together and mourned a little. We like each other after all, under our frustrations that is. And with those gone there was peace and the liking part of our relationship was all there was. We laughed. We hugged."
However, Shaun Groves will likely not leave Rocketown Records without a releasing fourth project, which is currently under discussion. Groves has mentioned that it will likely be a live recording, but details are still unknown at this point.
He invites fans and others interested to join the running dialogue at "The Shlog" to keep up to speed on details as they are available.
Other recent posts have revealed Shaun's desire to continue making music, examine the industry model, better connect with fans and deliver his future projects in effective and efficient ways.
