Newsboys sign to InPop Records; plan to release 2 new studio projects in 2005

With over five million units sold to date, the Dove Award-winning band Newsboys recently joined Inpop Records’ artist roster and will release two new studio projects this fall. Newsboys round out an acclaimed roster of acts including Superchick, Tree63, Shane & Shane, Mat Kearney, and Paul Colman, among others. Inpop Records will handle all marketing, sales, radio promotion and publicity for the newsboys and the new projects.

The newsboys’ fall release on Inpop Records will be a double-disc package that includes a new studio rock album and a new studio worship album. The special double-disc package will feature over 20 studio recordings from the award-winning band.

“I love the people at this label,” says Peter Furler, newsboys frontman and Inpop Records co-founder. “I’ve known many of them for years, and they are like family to me,” he says.

Comprised of Peter Furler (lead vocals), Phil Joel (bass), Duncan Phillips (drums), Jeff Frankenstein (keys), and Bryan Olesen (guitar), the newsboys have achieved phenomenal success in its near two decades together. The newsboys, always one of the most creative and energetic live touring bands in the industry, continue to perform and consistently sell out major markets.
