Casting Crowns Success at Retail & Radio continues
|
In addition to celebrating the Gold certification of its self-titled, debut
album last week, Atlanta-based Casting Crowns continues to set records as its
second single “Who Am I” remains at the top of all Christian radio charts for
the third consecutive week.
Dean Diehl, sr vp of Provident Label Group, home to Reunion Records and its
imprint Beach Street, comments, “Casting Crowns continues to surpass our
expectations at every level. And, in the midst of their unbelievable
success at radio and retail, not to mention a grueling tour schedule, they
remain committed to maintaining their ministry at their home church. It is
truly humbling to work with a band like this.”
Casting Crowns will be performing concerts through the summer and is readying
for a fall run with Steven Curtis Chapman on his “All Things New” tour which
launches in Oct.
Formed during frontman Mark Hall’s tenure as a youth minister in Daytona
Beach, Fla. four years ago, Casting Crowns developed its unique sound while
leading Wed. night worship for its youth group.
Accepting a similar post in Atlanta, Hall and other band members relocated in
order to continue and grow their music ministry.
Beach Street Records, an imprint of Reunion Records and Provident Label
Group, was launched by Mark Miller, founder and frontman of the multi-platinum
country music phenomenon Sawyer Brown. Casting Crowns, the imprint’s
flagship artist, is distributed to Christian retail through Provident
Distribution and to the general market through BMG.
