Matt McGee To Join 2004 SEC U-Tour

Crowne Music/Visionering Artist Matt McGee will be teaming up with Downhere and several other artists as part of the “Hope to a Generation:  the 2004 S.E.C. U-Tour”.    The tour hits 12 college campuses from October 19-December 2, 2004, and will be sponsored by FedEx, among others.

McGee and Downhere will be on each of the dates.  Two other slots will be filled with various other artists, and a host/speaker will briefly speak on the ever-increasing issues of depression and suicide on college campuses.  These artists and speaker will be announced in the next few weeks.  Other corporate sponsors are coming on board and will be announced shortly.

“I am so thankful to be a part of an event of this scope.  Working together with the individual ministries at each of these schools is going to open amazing doors to reach these college students,” says McGee.  “This is an amazing opportunity for everyone involved.”

Plans are being made for a late summer conference in Atlanta for all of the campus ministries involved from each school.   Participating schools are University of Alabama, Auburn, University of South Carolina, University of Georgia, University of Tennessee, University of Florida, University of Kentucky, Mississippi State, Louisiana State, Vanderbilt, University of Mississippi and University of Arkansas.

“A few months ago, John Paone of U-Night 17 approached me about helping him achieve his vision for bringing a night of hope to college students.  He has a huge heart for kids and has the drive to actually make that vision happen,” states Pam Kistler of Street Level Artist Agency, who is spearheading the event with John.  “We are excited that FedEx has agreed to be a part of the events, and negotiations are finishing up with several other large corporate sponsors, all of which will astonish you.  We have huge expectations with these events and are amazed that we have been put in a place to facilitate it.”
