Switchfoot's "Meant To Live" leaps into mainstream top40 chart
|
After spending the past several months in the top 10 on Radio & Records' Alternative chart, Switchfoot's smash hit "Meant To Live" leaps into the publication's top 40 CHR/Pop airplay chart, up from #46 last week to #37 this week.
The video for "Meant To Live" is now in regular rotation on MTV, and has been on MTV2 and Fuse for some time. The single currently sits at #9 on the R&R Alternative chart.
In addition to radio success, the band's critically-acclaimed latest disc, The Beautiful Letdown was recently certified Gold by the RIAA, signifying sales of more than 500,000 units.
The next single to Christian radio will be a re-worked version of "Dare You To Move," which is featured on both The Beautiful Letdown and the band's previous album Learning to Breathe. "Dare You To Move" was also featured prominently in the hit film A Walk To Remember, as well as on the film's Gold-selling soundtrack.
