Gospel Superstar Cece Winans To Launch 25-City Church Tour With No Ticket Admission

Grammy-winning gospel superstar CeCe Winans and her electrifying five-piece band and singers are embarking on a twenty-five city concert tour (with no admission charge) to mega-churches that will introduce music from her latest praise and worship cd "Throne Room" as well as an incredible worship experience. The cd, which is already half way to the gold-selling mark, was released this past fall and debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music Charts.  It also reached #21 on Billboard's R&B album and #32 on the Pop album charts - her best solo chart showings to date.  However, this tour is about worship, souls and the coming together of the body of Christ.  "This is a faith walk for me," quotes CeCe "but I believe that God is going to touch the hearts of people in the churches we visit to help us meet our budgets without selling tickets.  This way the focus is on making sure that everyone can come and worship God if you already know Him, and be introduced to Him if you don't.

Winans will include songs from the new project within a set list that also features hit tunes from her vast hit repertoire. A CeCe Winans concert is always an experience.  Over the years, music critics have marveled at her dynamic stage presence. They gush over her vocal dynamics and how she wraps her whole person around a lyric to the sheer delight of her captive audiences. Perhaps, the Los Angeles Times put it best: "...It may as well have been Sunday at church."

Regardless of what day the church tour falls on, it will be Sunday at church for Winans who "can't help but praise Him" as the lyrics of her latest smash single "Hallelujah Praise" proclaims. Winans is currently in the studio recording a new pop cd with famed producer Keith Thomas (Luther Vandross, Amy Grant, Jessica Simpson) that will release on PureSprings/Epic/INO Records in the fall. It's a reunion for Winans and Thomas who produced a half-dozen Top 40 R&B hits for BeBe & CeCe Winans in the late 1980s.  There is also a Throne Room Worship book in bookstores everywhere including www.cecewinans.com.
