Kutless has staying power; band hits mainstream stores in August
|
BEC/Tooth & Nail band Kutless continues to have staying power in the Top 30 at CHR. The band's debut album, Kutless, which was released on July 24, 2002, continues to sell at least 2,000 units a week, putting them ever-nearer to the 100,000 mark.
This melodic rock band was the #1 selling new artist in the CBA market in 2002 and is on track to maintain that position in 2003. The lyrical content of their songs and their sales success has led to the release of their hit song “Tonight,” which debuted on the CHR Chart at #29 and shot up to #12 in one week’s time. This single release follows two #1 Christian Rock singles and Kutless previously maintained a spot in the Top 5 for four weeks at CHR with their song “Run.”
Kutless will be touring this summer hitting major festivals and events and co-headlining with the Newsboys at Festival Con Dios this fall. In addition, Kutless is now going to be released in the
mainstream market on August 12. The band will be filming its new video on May 31.
