2003 Vibe Awards nominees announced

The nominees for the 2003 Vibe Awards have been announced. The Vibe Awards are the Canadian version of the Dove Awards -- but with a twist: it's all "the people's choice." Plus, only artists of Canadian nationality are eligible. The Vibe Awards will take place this year on May 23-24, 2003 in Calgary, Alberta.

Included among the major nominees are Jake (four), Brian Doerksen (four), Carolyn Arends (three nominations), downhere (one), Matt Brouwer (one), and Riley Armstrong (one). Also worth noting are nominations for CMCentral.com friends (and independent artists) Anita Paul for Female Vocalist of the Year and Lost Coin for Rock/Alternative Album of the Year for their album, Human.
