Caedmon's Call's Back Home debuts near top of multiple sales charts
|
The fifth label project from Caedmon’s Call, Back Home, saw an explosive debut week, ranking at the top of multiple Christian retail sales charts. Saturday’s packed concert at Moody Church in Chicago and the record’s Top 10 radio single, “Only Hope,” also contributed to Back Home’s successful launch. The project’s early momentum sets the pace for an exciting spring tour, which opened in Grand Rapids, MI, Wednesday.
Released February 4, Back Home achieved impressive first week sales, coming in at #2 on Soundscan’s Top Christian Albums chart. The album also claimed #3 on the Top Adult Contemporary Albums chart, #4 on the Top Current Contemporary Christian chart and #5 on the Top 50 Albums chart.
Among the week’s events, Caedmon’s Call celebrated Back Home’s release with a performance at the Moody Bible Institute’s Founders Day in Chicago. The concert at Moody Church drew a crowd of more than 3,000 attendees who came out to support the band’s latest project. Christian radio listeners prove equally enthusiastic about the record, as this week Back Home’s debut single, “Only Hope,” broke the Top 10 on Radio & Records’ Adult Contemporary Top 30 chart.
