Steven Curtis Chapman's All About Love debuts as #12 album in the country
|
Over 51,000 music shoppers picked up Steven Curtis Chapman's thirteenth studio album, All About Love, giving it an enormous #12 debut spot on Billboard's Top 200 Chart in its first week of release, making Chapman the #1 selling artist at Christian retail. #12 on the Billboard Top 200 chart is the highest debut chart position ever for an album in Sparrow Records' history.
During release week, Chapman made appearances in seven cities including Chicago, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, and Cleveland with attendance at in-store signings exceeding 4,000 fans in just 5 days. During an album-signing event at the Borders Bookstore in Wheaton, IL, Chapman performed 4 songs and autographed for over two hours, drawing in over 1,000 fans, exceeding fire codes, and forcing management to lock the doors during business hours to control the crowd.
In just three weeks of release, "All About Love," the title track and first single at Christian radio, jumped to #2 and remains there this week with a bullet on both R&R and CRW's AC charts.
