Northern Records signs All Things Bright and Beautiful from former Luxury frontman

Northern Records is proud to announce the signing of All Things Bright and Beautiful, the brainchild of former Luxury frontman Lee Bozeman. The Missouri-based musician will be recording in February for a late summer release.

“I have known the Northern Records guys since Luxury did a tour with The Prayer Chain years ago. They are of course terrifically nice and generous people and when I asked if they wanted to do a record, they said yes. Imagine that,” states Bozeman.

“I think that Lee and Luxury were one of the most amazing and underrated bands I have seen and heard. On top of that they are great people. As such, I am privileged and blessed to have such an artist on this label and I cannot wait to hear his magical jams,” says Eric Campuzano, Northern Records C.O.O. “He has many of the same ideas about music that we do, and I know he’s the perfect addition to the Northern family.”

“Stylistically, it's hard to say how it will come out. I don't think it will be much like Luxury aside from the similarities in song writing. Lyrically, it will be more personal and perhaps provocative. I definitely want to incorporate a wider range of instrumentation.” Bozeman continues, “Thematically, the album deals intimately with marriage and sex, struggling with existential depravity, and the concept of hope. Influences range from a few novels including Absolom, Absolom by Faulkner, A Place on Earth by Wendel Berry, the music of The Flaming Lips, Trans Am, Daft Punk, Belle and Sebastian, and Blonde Redhead. Of course, it won't be anything like these.”

Andy Prickett, VP of Production for Northern continues, "This is my favorite part about having a label: being able to put out your own favorite artists. I couldn't be happier to have Lee on board, and I feel that his music is required listening for all who consider themselves appreciators of music and art."
