|
On March 18, Reunion Records will release Dove Hits 2003: 15 of the Year's Best Dove Award Nominated Artists and Songs. Previous compilations have included such artists as Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Third Day, Rebecca St. James, Avalon, Nicole C. Mullen, and Point of Grace. A full song list for Dove Hits 2003 will be announced following the 34th Annual Dove Awards press conference to be held in Nashville on Tuesday, January 14.
In addition to offering 15 of the year's best Dove Award-nominated artists and songs the collection will include an exclusive multi-artist version of the Michael W. Smith classic "Friends," recorded in honor of Michael W. Smith's 20-year anniversary as a Christian artist. "Friends 2003" will be available only on Dove Hits 2003. Also slated for inclusion on this edition are several bonus tracks featuring nominees from the 34th Annual Dove Awards New Artist of the Year category.
Dean Diehl, vice president and general manager of Reunion Records, commented, "We are excited about this opportunity to create the official Dove Awards recording for 2003. Over the years this recording has developed into a significant brand and we look forward to continuing the momentum created through previous Dove Award projects."
Reunion Records will support the album's launch through a marketing campaign which will include major media, radio, and retail initiatives built around the project's stellar artists and songs. "Friends 2003" will be a highlight of the campaign.
