Sanctus Real performs for Toys for Tots benefit
|
Sparrow Records’ newest rock band Sanctus Real launches its national debut, Say It Loud, to unanimous critical acclaim December 24. The band will celebrate on the recording’s release date by giving the closing performance for Toledo’s WVKS KISS-FM 92.5 Toys for Tots annual Christmas benefit.
Having already helped the mainstream Clear Channel CHR station raise $37,786 by performing for its Toy-A-Thon 2002, Sanctus Real will also perform for the Toys for Tots Christmas benefit at Toledo’s Gladieux Meadows. More information on the benefit, as well as Sanctus Real performance photos from the Toy-A-Thon, can be found at www.925kissfm.com.
Sanctus Real and its music were further featured as the band recently co-hosted the KISS-FM Breakfast Club morning show. "As a CHR station we are strictly bound by the playlist to play only songs perceived as 'hits,'" says Fred Lefebvre, KISS-FM Breakfast Club morning show producer. "Given a fair chance by programmers, Sanctus Real could be a huge hit.”
In addition to the KISS-FM benefit, Sanctus Real will also host a Say It Loud release party in its hometown of Toledo December 28 at the Mill Youth Stop. Joining the band will be special guest artists, Flicker Records’ Riley Armstrong and local band Falling Upward.
