Looking for a little spice in your spiritual life? Join us at CMCentral.com and dig into the Bible and watch what happens.
Beginning on March 26th, 2006, we're issuing a community-wide challenge to read through the Bible in 40 weeks. That's right, the whole Bible. Starting with Genesis and continuing on through Revelations. The initiative will last through the end of this year. Below is the schedule that we'll be following:
We realize that this is an aggressive schedule and goal, so there will be three different reading paths to accommodate different pac Our goal with this initiative isn't about sprinting through the Bible to check it off your list, but rather to establish a pattern of reading and experiencing the Word. The "mild" track will provide readers a brief overview of each of the sections of scriptures, the "medium" track will offer a little more depth, and the "hot" track will cover every verse. Whichever track you choose, you're certain to add spice to your spiritual walk.
Each week, we'll post a guide with a suggested breakdown of the week's reading for all three tracks as well as links to the text online. We recommend using a translation that's easy to read and understand, such as the NIV, CEV, or The Message.
Also during this initiative, our Devotional section will feature special devotions from some of today's hottest Christian music artists including: Cindy Morgan, Kevin Max, Building 429, Shaun Groves and more. Also to help guide us through the process, Vicky Beeching will be offering regular features with insights and more to correspond with the passages that we've read. Vicky Beeching is currently a recording artist on Sparrow Records (her full-length debut album, Yesterday, Today, Forever released in December) who just so happens to have been a 4.0 Oxford University Graduate with a degree in Theology.
This is definitely an exciting time to be part of CMCentral's community. We hope you'll be joining us for this journey.
