Well, it's the last official day of GMA week, and things are obviously starting to wind down. We arrived at the Nashville Convention Center at 9:00am for our first interview, and already people were packing up their booths and heading for home. We actually had a pretty full day of interviews - actually our busiest day of all.
The first hour was probably the most eventful. Two noteworthy things happened that I would like to share. First, I had a chance to yodel in a full elevator, and then felt dumb immediately afterward. I happened to be wearing a T-Shirt with a reference to Norway on it. Someone made a comment about how they liked my shirt, and my response was a quick "Yo-del-a-hee-hoo". I regretted that decision immediately. I got over my embarassment, and got off the elevator on the 4th floor which was home of our friends at Food for the Hungry. They are a relief organization we work closely with, and we were just going to visit them between interviews. They actually had another meeting at the time, so we just popped our heads in to say hi. Then, on our way out the door, I was waving goodbye over my shoulder and ran into a large sign in the hall. Again, embarassing, but worth a good laugh.
I got control of myself, and we made it through our last few interviews of the day. Our first instinct was to immediately come home and relax for the afternoon, but our producer called and told us to come over to the Global Cafe and see another band play. So we did, and it was a good decision. It was good music, fun, and fellowship all the way around. Soon after, we decided to say a final goodbye to the convention center and get on down the road.
It was a pretty great GMA - they just keep getting busier for us, which is the way it's suppose to be. We had a lot of fun reuniting with our friends in other bands that we play with around the country. That's probably my favorite part of GMA. So thanks for reading all about our adventures. It's been fun.
