Although today was fairly busy, it seemed pretty casual compared with the last few days. That was probably due to the fact that we didn't have a showcase, which obviously eased the pressure a little bit. We spent the first half of the day in interviews promoting our new album and our reality TV show. By far, the question we were most often asked was "What's it like having cameras following you all the time?" We tried to explain that is actually a pretty good lesson in accountability, as you are constantly aware that people are (or will be) watching you. The funny part is God sees everything anyway, so a camera shouldn't really change the way we act at all. We found out that, initially, we did act differently. That realization was a small epiphany for all of us, and we feel it's a truth worth sharing.
Our run of interviews lasted until 3:30, so we got to go home early which was really nice. I used the time to break out a few tools and do some real hefty work. I had an audio cord that had a short in it, so I fixed it right up. It felt really good to accomplish that task, as it had been on my to-do list for a long time. But that doesn't have much to do with GMA. I just thought you might want to know.
To round out the day, my wife and I ventured back into the city to catch a few showcases. Although I didn't get to catch all of it, I was amazed by the show that The Listening put on. We've been fans of theirs for a long time, but they just keep getting better. Way to go.
Well, tomorrow is the last day of GMA, so I hope we make it count.
