Christina Paul: God's Will
Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Have you ever wondered what the will of God for your life is? I don't know about you, but I have...not at one point in my life but in many circumstances. I have learned that just walking in the righteousness and holiness of God and praying continually and giving thanks at all times, even in the darkest moment, unfolds the will of God for my life. God's Word says that we need to rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks. Now, we all pray "without ceasing" when we have problems and when we want God to bail us out of our situation. But we are expected to pray at ALL times, which will help us to stay Holy as He is Holy. Then we also ought to rejoice always and give thanks at all times.
I know, it is difficult to stay positive and give thanks to God when we are in life’s darkest moments. But when we come to the realization that God is in control of our lives and surrender our lives to Him, it is possible to rejoice and give thanks in whatever situation we may be in. So when we obey Him and His Word and take every step in our lives with prayer and thanksgiving, the chances of making the wrong choices are zero. So it's impossible to deviate from the Will of God, and our lives end up with the best possible that God has for us.
"Dear God, I praise You for who You are. Lord, I thank You and praise You for I am alive and well today. Thank You for the perfect plan You have for each and every one of us. Thank you for taking control of my life. God, I pray that You strengthen me to stay pure and Holy. Jesus, give me a thankful heart and help me to be thankful in all circumstances and help me to stay at the center of Your will by being sensitive to Your voice. Be with me, guard me and guide me. I ask these in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.”
