Need Wisdom?: Our Heart's Hero

"If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won't correct you for asking."                                                                                       James 1:5 (CEV)

This is a verse that my mom had me memorize as a kid, one that has always been a huge source of encouragement to me. How cool is this verse!? Anybody besides me in need of a little wisdom every once in a while? How ‘bout every minute of every day? If you are anything at all like me, then this promise is AMAZING.

God promises us that He will give us clarity and wisdom by simply asking...that's it! No list to complete beforehand, no tasks to finish first...just simply ask God for wisdom and He will give it to you. And not just a little wisdom, but generously. In heaps! This is truly incredible to me. It’s such a simple promise, and such an enormous comfort to know that the God of the whole universe offers us insights to life that are only available through Him. So whenever you feel lost or a little unsure of a decision in your life, just remember…God’s wisdom is no further than asking Him for it.
