 The Marshall McLuhan Project
 Biography

The Marshall McLuhan Project is a band that has risen from the ashes of the popular Phoenix-based rock group, S.P.G. (Souls Of Present Grace). Marshall has toured regionally supporting their debut release. Due to their high-energy show, they sold nearly five thousand units with virtually no distribution. Because of this they were able to develop a loyal following through out the southwest.

Marshall McLuhan (Lead Vocals & Guitar) formed the band in the fall of 2002. The newest band members are Daniel Crawford (Guitars & Vocals), Daniel Willett (Keys & Vocals), and David Keeler (Bass & Vocals). It was at this same time that McLuhan had the opportunity to meet Producer Billy Smiley (WhiteHeart) through longtime mutual friend Peter Furler of the ‘Newsboys’ after a ‘Newsboys’ show in Phoenix.

McLuhan and Smiley then got together to write and immediately came up with 4 new songs for the project. Shortly thereafter Smiley signed Marshall to his production company and label Cul De Sac Records.

Stylistically similar to bands such as ‘Vertical Horizon’, ‘Goo Goo Dolls’, and ‘Hoobastank’, the Marshall McLuhan Project offers listeners an aggressive – yet melodic sound. Whether it is one of the infectious hits Chameleon (with guest Peter Furler) and Follow (with Sanctus Real), the smash ballads The Vine and Cast Of Angels, or the harder-edged #5 Rock Hit N.A.G. , this band crosses the musical spectrum with their positive message and emotionally- driven style, and it is sure to please.
