 Something Like Silas
 Biography

With a progressive mix of ambient, hard and melodic rock, fresh visuals, heartfelt lyrics and the spoken word of God, Something Like Silas does not just perform for audiences; they lead them. Changing the face of modern worship, Something Like Silas seeks to take worship to a new level of intense passion and personal reflection. "Worship is more than just singing along... in worship there is movement and transformation. It is a journey into the heart of God." Says Eric Owyoung (vocals and guitar). Along with Nick Maybury (guitar and vocals), Malina Owyoung (keyboards and vocals), John Luzzi (bass) and Lenny Beh (percussion and programming), SLS desires to bring worshippers together with their Creator. Through passionate original songs like "Song Of The Broken" and "When Jesus Came," coupled with their own fresh arrangements of modern favorites such as "Better Is One Day" and classic hymns like "It Is Well", SLS succeeds in capturing the emotion of the soul engaging in a worship experience that is intense and purposeful.  Their calling is evident: to create music that communicates an unwavering devotion to God - to give Him the glory and the honor He deserves.

After three years together, SLS recently released their fourth album Glimpses.  In addition to concert touring, SLS spent the last three summers as the worship band at Hume Lake Christian Camps and currently leads worship at "Flood", (a service geared to reach the post-modern generation) at College Avenue Baptist Church in San Diego, California.
