 Tunnel Rats
 Biography

The highly anticipated 3rd release from the Tunnel Rat family definitely serves as a reminder that the TR Camp is the perfect blend of Hip Hop that stays both true to the Father and true to the culture.  In these 20 tracks of non-stop, neck breaking, thought provoking, heart challenging pure hip-hop, there is a flavor that will satisfy every appetite.

With New Breed, Raphi, Zane, Sev and Dert as the veterans, long time listeners can appreciate the lyrical maturity and sound development they have gained over the years. The new members include Propaganda, Foundation, Griffin and Jamie who not only display their ability to rock the microphone but add their own unique spice to the already delicious taste the Tunnel Rats leave in your ear.

Macho (New Breed) had this to say about the project, “The latest Tunnel Rat release is definitely a good view of where the Tunnel Rats are today. New members are showing their skills and sharing their hearts. Veteran members consistently coming with the real hip-hop and the beats that people can bang without reservation. I am sure the listeners will enjoy this one and I know God will use it to open more doors for His name to be glorified.”

A definite strength of the crew has always been writing catchy songs that challenge the listener to up their game in both their walks with Jesus Christ and also in the quality of their music or other ministry. Through excellence in ministry they have been able to reach many in our culture that would normally have otherwise tuned out the things of God.

Core to preaching the salvation message of the Gospel is making certain that the message is alive whether through preaching or poetic similes and metaphors. They continue to stand firm in their calling to Christ and move forward on that calling with every release. The following lyric written by Jamie, on “Born Again”, sums it up:

Lower case man I am often small in my ways
But when I embrace the Creator’s grace I’m made great
Verily I claim all sky and land
Readily I break all law made by man
Every eardrum and hand whether enemy or fan
Shall shake and shiver from the weight I deliver
On command from the giver of life, you heard it right
For the glory of the Lord I keep my rhyme tight.
