Biography
Vicki Yohe
Vicki was born in a minister's family and was raised in a home filled with prayer and music! Surrounded by this environment, Vicki wrote and sang her first song at the age of 5. Vicki was joined by her sister, Terri, and the Yoh'e girls blessed audiences across the country with their soul-stirring gospel songs. At 17, Vicki left the family ministry and entered Jackson College of Ministry. After two years of college, at age of 19, Vicki accepted a Music Director's position near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Directing an 80 member choir, as well as special groups, was a learning, challenging, and rewarding experience for Vicki. It was during that time that family members approached her with offers of finance for a recording project. After much prayer, Vicki accepted, contacting her cousin, recording artist and producer, Nate Sabin...thus her first project, Vicki Yoh'e was born. Since that debut recording, requests for concert services increased to the point that Vicki felt God was leading her down a new path of ministry. In February of 1994, Vicki signed a national recording contract with GIANT Records, a recording company with a vision of ministry not unlike her own. Her first release with Giant was titled Everlasting Love, which included such hits as "The Mercy Seat" and the title track "Everlasting Love"... Vicki's second release, I Give You Me, with the company came in the fall of 1995, and includes the singles "Whatever It Takes," "Under the Blood," as well as several other inspirational and moving songs. Vicki's third project with GIANT RECORDS, He Knows My Heart, produced her first Top10 single and it only gets better... Today, Vicki lives in Nashville and attends Christ Church which is nationally known for their music ministry. She is ministering in song along side some of today's well known evangelist, such as Benny Hinn, and The Brownsville Revival team. Her own ministry brings a powerful message through song and the word to thousands of people throughout the nation, during her over 150 concert services every year. Today's Christian music is helping to make the knowledge of Christ accessible to a whole new generation, and Vicki feels blessed that God has allowed her to be one of His vessels. |
