Squad Five-0 had their humble beginnings in a 2nd floor Savannah bedroom, and they haven’t looked back since. Not that Squad doesn’t know their rock history. From the King to the Stones, the Boss to the Ramones, all of it plays a part in the glorious wreckage that is Squad Five-0. Squad’s five members are all punk rock veterans who have simply returned to their roots, rock ‘n roll. Known for their epic live show and die-hard work ethic, the Squad realizes that rock has to be returned to the masses in a real way, to be healed from the disease of mediocrity. In a culture that is fascinated with “rock stars” and the cult of personality, Squad couldn’t care less. Playing the music that matters to them is paramount, whatever comes along the way would just be a by-product of the inevitable. Started by twin brothers Jeff and John Fortson, the lineup was later cemented by the addition of native Philadelphians Adam Garbinski and guitar hero Kris Klein. The drum seat was filled by long time friend of all four members, Dave Petersen. With roots of friendship that go back before they ever played a note together, Squad Five-0 understands the importance of family and community over the stereotype of the rock and roll lifestyle. |
