Jennifer Young
Biography
Jennifer Young
Jennifer was born in Atlanta, GA, and grew up in Chattanooga, TN. Throughout her life, her family played a major role creating her love for music.
As a young child, she performed with sister Stephanie and her mother Cindy at parties and events. Jennifer got her big break in the music/theatre world as she emerged as an award winning actress in the local Chattanooga Little Theatre play, Annie at the age of eleven. That same year she traveled abroad to Sweden with CISV (Children's International Summer Villages) where she made her singing debut. She continued with her newfound love of the arts throughout high school by participating in plays and taking voice lessons.
During those same impressionable years, she became a Christian at a Young Life camp when she was 14 years old and soon knew that she wanted to dedicate her life to sharing the Word with others.
She continued in her musical journey as she received a music scholarship to Baylor University where she performed in the Concert Choir, directed the Pi Beta Phi "All University Sing" act, and was involved in other campus leadership groups. Upon college graduation, in 1996, Jennifer married Jason Young, a young man she had met during her time as a camp counselor and mentor for women's staff at Kamp Kanakuk in Branson, MO.
In the summer of 1999, after months of prayer and much support from her church, husband, and family Jennifer decided to leave her job in corporate America and dedicate her musical talents to the Contemporary Christian Music field. Through her music, she aspires to spread the Gospel and especially make an impact toward encouraging young adults to take a stand for Christ. With her mother and father's wise counsel and support, Jennifer recently formed her own company, Pathways Music, LLC.
She and Jason live in Plano, TX, with their dog Ali and are active members of Park Cities Baptist Church where they are teachers for the 11th grade in the Youth Sunday School Department.
