ANDREW CARLTON is an artist who knows the industry. He knows the competition. He knows Nashville; and he's not going anywhere. In recent years Andrew has performed before thousands; personally touring with the likes of Grammy and Dove-Award Winners alike. He's seen the nation-wide release of his music on two award-winning albums featuring a CRW Top 100 Song of the Year, This Is Faith. Now Andrew is back with his third studio album, set for nation-wide release 8/28/07. After telling him the average life-span of an artist in Nashville is two years and being asked what it feels like to be embarking on your third national release and sixth year of touring Andrew simply replies, "I know how tough this industry is. I know there's a lot of talent out there and I'm honored to still be doing what I love." Growing up in a musical home, ANDREW CARLTON knew he had something to say. "Ive always found the best way to say something is to say it through music. If I tell you I'm hurting or wrestling with something in my life, you may forget it; but what if it's said with a chorus you can't get out of your head?" THE NEW RECORD is a chance for Andrew to finally record an album his way; which won't be too difficult, considering the launch of his new studio in Nashville, ACM, will allow him to do just that. Andrew Carlton will join the ranks of a very select few in producing, performing, and writing his latest album. In doing things his way, Andrew has earned the right to be heard. His record label, Bakertown, is the first of three he's been signed with to let him steer. "I'm really excited about the direction we're taking. I grew up around country and CCM. My very first demo even had a country flare to it, and I think radios ready for that." Real-life stories are the theme of Andrews new release; stories of pain and joy in relationships to stories of faith. From love to loss and back again, the album is laced with Andrew's personal experiences; some of which, 10 years in the making. |
