 Luna Halo
 Biography

Luna Halo. Remember that name.

Following a recent explosion of rock acts out of Nashville (i.e. Kings of Leon, The Features) Luna Halo is beginning to emerge on the national radar. After hearing their independent release and seeing the band’s powerful live delivery, legendary producer Rick Rubin (Tom Petty, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Run DMC, Johnny Cash) encouraged Warner Bros to ink a deal with them in May of 05. Following signing with CAA and Sanctuary Management in late 2004, Luna Halo earned some valuable exposure by touring with acts such as Velvet Revolver, Hoobastank, and Collective Soul winning over hundreds of new fans in major markets. Luna Halo’s roots go back to lead singer, Nathan Barlowe’s vision to mix honest lyrics with musical integrity. The band fell into place with the union of Aaron Jenkins (bass), Chris Coleman (drums), and Nathan’s brother Cary Barlowe (guitar). A modern rock sound influenced by the likes of The Smiths, New Order, The Clash, and Muse, Luna Halo has carved out a sound all of their own. Lead singer, Nathan Barlowe comments “We want to write good songs that stand the test of time, and tour as much as possible, because playing these songs live is why we started this.” There is much more to come from this band following a summer in the studio recording their much-anticipated major label debut with producers Rick Rubin and Neal Avron (Weezer, Everclear, The Wallflowers) in early 2006.
